our scheduled services and for your suggestion of future development of our routes into Scotland.
We can assure you that we are constantly monitoring potential routes and we are looking to expand our presence in the Scottish
market. Aircraft and slot availability are our main challenges, and our Route Management team are striving to make headway
in this area so that increase our network and passenger base.

American Airlines:
I can confirm that we have no plans for a seasonal flight between Boston in Glasgow as per our latest update on 29 may
2005.
US Airways:
Thank you for your recent e-mail regarding our service from Glasgow.
I appreciate the opportunity to respond to your inquiry.
At the present time, there are no plans to service Glasgow
year-round. Though our seasonal service has been overwhelmingly popular, we must be careful to consider revenue potential
and requirements for aircraft and personnel.
Additionally, there are no plans currently to service this market with the Airbus A-330 aircraft.
Lufthansa:
Any new routes that are put into operation are based on demand. Although at the moment we do not have any direct flights
from Germany to Glasgow, we do monitor this from time to time and when it is sustainable only then will it be possible to
operate flights back to Glasgow.
Air Scotland:
There are due to be announcements regarding our fleet soon. Unfortunately
I cannot, at the moment, confirm or deny the rumours.
Sorry!!!!
Lithuanian Airlines:
Lithuanian Airlines has never announced
that it will
commence operations to Glasgow. (I never said they had) This destination
might be on option, though
nothing is decided yet. It is a subject of negotiations.
best regards
Giedrius Sniukas
Public Relations Officer of Lithuanian Airlines

Jet2:
Even though MAN - GLA is not a planned route for this winter, we will keep your
suggestions in mind for planning future routes.
Etihad:
At present we have not heard of this fresh rumour, we do have an agreement with British Midlands from Glasgow to London
to connect with our London flights to Abu Dhabi.
American Airlines:
Thank you for your email dated 04 September. I would like to apologise for the
delay in responding to you.
As this time we a have no plans to operate a 777 or a year round service from Glasgow. However, we continually
evaluate the profitability of each flight segment we operate and, where appropriate, we withdraw from serving a particular
market when we find our resources could be better utilised elsewhere. Like ise, we add service -- either with new routes
or greater frequency -- where it would be profitable to do so and we have the available equipment and personnel. We
have documented your suggestion for a service between Glasgow and Boston. Thank you for sharing your opinion.
Flybe:
At present we do not have any plans for European routes out of Glasgow.
As an expanding airline we do always look
into the possibility of new routes that would be a success for both ourselves and for our passengers.
I will forward
on your email to our route controllers for their future
consideration.
PIA:

Continental:
Thank you for your inquiry on the expanding Glasgow service.
Right now, they have not made public their scheduling
intentions regarding the expansion of this route. The usual procedure is for the Scheduling Department to watch the
ticket sales very closely and then carefully expand as warranted.
The trick is always to provide additional seats slowly
to see if the aircraft goes out full. If it does and the demand remains strong, then you carefully expand again.
As
you can imagine, you do not want the flight to go out with empty seats as this is not good for business.
I will let
the scheduling department know your hopes for this route. It is always very good to have them hear from passengers whom
changes would affect.
Kind regards to you in one of my favorite cities to visit.
Susan Cloer
Customer Care Manager
Air Berlin:
Thank you for your email. There exist no plans at the moment to offer flights to other destinations in the UK but London-Stansted.
Qantas:
Thank you for your interest in Qantas. Firstly, can I advise you that we
have no plans at the moment to purchase the A340-500s.
With regard to flying into Glasgow, I regret that this is not
commercially viable for us, as the passenger numbers are simply not there.
You may recall that, a few years back, we
used to fly into Manchester but even this could not be made to work.
Qatar Airways:
Qatar
Airways operates 18 flights a week into the UK. At present we have 4 weekly flights into Manchester and 14 into Heathrow.
At present there are no plans to operate into Glasgow.
We will however be operating to the USA within the next 12
months and if our new order for long range aircraft is as delayed as others have been by Airbus then the USA routing will
have to be via Europe. I personally have heard both Birmingham and Glasgow mentioned.
Suffice
it to say that we are moving 'onward and upward' and nothing will surprise me.
Wizz Air:
As you know, Wizz Air will start flying between Katowice and cities of London, Berlin,
Milano and Rome on 19 May and from 1 July to Budapest, Athens, Barcelona, Dortmund, Paris and Stockholm. This is just the first step and as new aircrafts arrive,
we will be introducing new destinations.
PIA:
Sir,
With reference to your query please be advised that flight operation from and to Glasgow has not yet been decided, we
advise you to kindly keep visiting the following link
http://www.piac.com.pk/flight_schedule.asp for updated flight schedules including new destinations.
NWA:
We
recognize your frustration as a result of our schedule change. Our goal is to provide reliable and convenient air travel,
but we must occasionally change some of our flight schedules. We make changes for a number of reasons, such as seasonal
use, underused routes, or time changes to coincide with operational needs. While we try not to disrupt our customers'
travel plans this, unfortunately, sometimes occurs.
Due to the current economic situation, there has been a
significant decline in bookings and we have had to revise our schedules. Our hope is that as customer demand rebounds,
flights can be restored. In the meantime, our scheduling people are constantly evaluating our routes
ATA:
It is true that we are considering service to Ireland and smaller airports
in Europe, including the UK. This would more than likely include GLA. It will probably be some time before
any formal announcements would be made, however there is certainly reason to believe we'll be visiting Scotland in the years
to come.
ZOOM:
Thank you for contacting Zoom Airlines. I would like to sincerely thank you for
taking the time to send us your comments. Clients feedback is very important to us and is always much appreciated. Zoom Airlines
is a young company growing very quickly. The response to these flights has been excellent, and we will continue to service
where there is demand as quickly as we can grow. At this time I do not have further information on possible new destinations
or expansions, however please keep in touch for the most up to date information.
UNITED:
Thank
you for contacting us about service to Glasgow. Our scheduling and route structure teams regularly analyze the air industry
market. They determine how and where airplanes and people might work most efficiently and cost-effectively to serve you and
other customers. This regular analysis is absolutely necessary; it requires United staff to determine how United might
remain a world class airline.
If the route structure and scheduling teams determine that revised schedules provide
greater opportunities for airplanes, crews, and United's route structure, they make the required changes. For our customers'
benefit, United needs to work efficiently and cost-effectively, and remain competitive as well. Your understanding is appreciated.
Your
concerns matter to us. I will forward your comments to our Schedule Planning Department and they will continue to analyze
the IAD-GLA market. This group regularly reviews our departures worldwide to determine that airplanes and crews are
working where most passengers need them. We appreciate this opportunity to be of assistance and look forward to serving
you.
VIRGIN:
Virgin Atlantic is constantly evaluating numerous new route opportunities, including the option of starting
services from other UK airports. We have looked at the market from Glasgow, but at this present moment we do not have any
definite plans to fly on this route in the near future. We do monitor any changes in the market place and will re-evaluate
our studies when the need arises. However, any plans that we may have to operate on any new route will remain confidential
to Virgin Atlantic, until we announce a definite plan to do so. Thank you for your interest in Virgin Atlantic. I'm sorry
I cannot reply more positively on this occasion.
Helvetic:
Dear Sir Thank you for you interest on helvetic. For the moment we do not have any plans to fly to GLA. We are still
working on our winter timetable. Probably in the future GLA will be a opportunity for us.
Best regards your helvetic
